I don't want to scare you, but it's better to be prepared than to be surprised: soon you'll be hearing Mariah Carey again on the radio, on TV, in the car and in shopping malls. And you know what I'm talking about. Christmas is here.
I like Christmas as much as it is fair and necessary. I like the excuse to get together with my family and have a good time. Eat a lot and share well-deserved moments and naps. But since I have a business… you can't see how much I like Christmas! It has become my favorite time of the year!
My mother and sisters love Christmas. Rut, the eldest, has lived in San Diego, California for years and we have always been aware of what she does and what happens there. She was the one who introduced us to this wonderful song.
We always laugh when the song comes on and we start sharing and listening to it. Now that I have the workshop, this tells me one thing: I need to get my batteries ready to start promoting gift cards and my workshops!
Mariah Carey has nothing to do with me, but she is the signal to stop being so clingy and start preparing for the season. At least, if all goes well, this season will keep me afloat for a few months. So it is worth warning you that, yes, you will start listening to the song, but you will also start seeing more information about my wood carving workshops in Barcelona.
If you don't know me yet, my name is Bernat and I have a workshop dedicated to wood carving in Barcelona, Wood Bern Studio, at Felip II 181. There you can learn relief and chip carving. In relief carving we use gouges and gouges to give volume and shape to our ideas. On the other hand, in chip carving we use a single knife to make all the cuts. Each technique is very different from the other.
